Hello! I’m Oscar Kavanagh —

Irish-born founder and developer in machine learning alignment and the economics of AI. My work asks: how can we design intelligent systems that amplify human values rather than replace them?

“Catalytic progression”, ML-led dynamic sequence.

At Carnegie Mellon University (2018-22), I converged my studies in information systems, behavioral economics, and machine learning to examine how technology shapes intelligence and influences behavior at scale. As a complex system, I learned about growth curves across epochs of innovation and attempted to capture a long-termist view of ethics as a proxy for safeguarding human-centric design over time. At the University of Cambridge, I’ve refined this work in AI-value alignment research and industry strategy studies.

I apply these principles at Peru Consulting, where I lead AI product deployment partnerships with Fortune 500 clients. I help executive leadership to harness AI responsibly while maximizing human impact, including a healthcare chatbot serving 9 million users.
